Hi, I'm Charity and I'm honored that you would visit this blog and even read some of its content.
It is called Journeys for a reason, and yes, it is a personal blog of essays and heartfelt stories that I publish here for your perusal.
While publishing here, my intent is to be genuine and to reveal myself through what I write with the hope that somehow it helps others.
I write about my experiences, my emotions, my memories, my spiritual lessons, and about my personal growth.
I mention books, my environment, music, and my relationships with the humble intent to protect the privacy of everyone I speak of while offering something that is easy to relate to and down-to-earth.
I'm not afraid or ashamed of my past nor am I apprehensive about the future. I strive to approach every moment as if it is the only one that matters, because it is. I've been described as incredibly tenacious, driven, determined, bright, caring, full of humor, and compassionate. The world and the life that I live is my source of education; it is my school.
What I am not is a college graduate that holds a degree in psychology or social work. This is all primarily based on my own educational and experiential endeavors to personally achieve peace so that I may have a way to help others do the same. I'm not a spiritual guru either. I simply walk a path; I journey to the innermost parts of my being and thoughts so that I can learn something new about me and you every day, and then I put them here for you to read about. This, essentially, is my therapy and my spirituality and I'm sharing it with you.
It is truly about the journey, not the destination. Life is a scary, twisting, thrilling, and exciting joy ride. I invite you to walk with me: if anything you read helps you or makes you smile at all, then I have done what I have come here to do.
Finally...approach this with the understanding that bringing these entries to you helps me in many ways. Indeed, it makes me smile!
